Our Impact' | Edition #10
Jan >March 2010 | Submissions close Jan 15 2010
Frame Lines asks the big question: How are you affecting your environment, and how is your environment affecting you? This is your chance to tell us about projects you’re involved in that have a positive impact. Maybe you’re an environmental reporter or activist, maybe you work in conservation, urban planning, fundraising or sustainable development – show us the impact you’re making.
We’ll be showcasing artists that make art from of their environment, and those that create environments out of their art. Tell us your ideas for a society that can live at one with its environment. Step outside and see our impact - write about it, paint on it, create from it and most of all, protect it!
Documentary * Manufactured LandscapesManufactured Landscapes is a feature length documentary on the world and work of renowned artist Edward Burtynsky. Burtynsky makes large-scale photographs of 'manufactured landscapes' - quarries, recycling yards, factories, mines and dams. He photographs civilisation's materials and debris, but in a way people describe as 'stunning' or 'beautiful', and so raises all kinds of questions about ethics and aesthetics without trying to easily answer them. |
